Salvaged from an 19th century Virginia barn. Hand hewn axe marks represent how the original oak log was shaped by hand into a beam. The hewn marks on this piece are exceptional. The darker coloring represents two centuries of aging. The end grain represents the original natural color. The contrast between truly makes this candle holder a gem.
